Gulf Related, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi’s Gulf Capital and Related, a leading retail real estate developer based in New York, broke ground on the 2.3 million square foot Al Maryah Central development in 2014 which will be anchored by Bloomingdales and the first Macy’s department store to be opened outside the United States.
The awarding of this contract extends the collaboration between Gulf Related and Vindico that successfully delivered The Galleria luxury retail development in Abu Dhabi in 2013.
“We are very pleased to have been successful in the tender process for this role,” comments Scott Strader, Vindico Sales Director “This appointment allows us to continue our working relationship with Gulf Related on yet another marquee development for the Region.”
Vindico will deploy an integrated retail delivery strategy, design and management solution that blends an on-site team with Vindico’s Dubai studio, to be led by Retail Delivery Director, Jon Firn-Keightley.
“I relocated to the UAE to join the team that delivered The Galleria back in 2011,” said Firn-Keightley. “Since then, our service model has evolved and we are excited to offer Al Maryah Central’s retailers and brands a more seamless process that combines design and management, whilst respecting their role in delivering the best designed stores that are open and earning on time.”
